Ms. Evelyn is sharing with our pre-K through second-grade scholars about Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, who is considered by many one of the most important artists of the last century. She challenged them to create abstract pieces following Mondrian in his use of primary colors and geometric lines. Our scholars are learning about color, shape, form and composition, and how to use these elements to tell a story. “If you can master the basics, you can do anything,” Ms. Evelyn said.
